The Sign Language Translator and Interpreter (SLTI)
https://www.pioneertraining.co.uk/periodicals/journal.php?j=154

The Sign Language Translator & Interpreter aims to provide an open, peer-reviewed forum for interdisciplinary analysis of interpreting and translation with sign languages. The journal welcomes ideas from diverse theoretical and applied fields, encouraging reflection and enquiry into processes and practices. In addition, SLTI promotes dissemination and discussion of new, analytically-grounded thinking in the education and training of interpreters and translators.
Interpreting and translation with sign languages has evolved into a broad field of praxis and analysis and one in which links and comparisons with wider areas of interpreting, translation, bilingualism and intercultural communication are to be encouraged. SLTI is concerned with all sign languages, all practitioners (whether 'natural' or professionally trained) and all dimensions of product and performance, exploring different paradigms, settings, modes, discourses and problems. Social, political and ethical issues for interpreters, translators, service users and researchers will be areas in focus.
The journal is centrally concerned with mediation between signed and spoken language, between one signed language and another, and between text and signed language. In addition, SLTI aims to stimulate relevant discussion of emerging areas of inter-semiotic theory and practice (including mediation involving sign systems, hands-on signing, virtual signing, subtitling and other forms of on-screen communication). SLTI will provide a forum for diverse and complex disciplinary approaches to interpreting and translation theory, engaging with analyses drawing upon sociology, linguistics, communication studies, semiotics, psychology, cognitive science, anthropology, and cultural, historical and literary studies.
In addition to research articles and reviews, each biannual issue of SLTI will also include one or more of the following features: additions to knowledge in the form of non-traditional research texts (including case studies); short reports of work-in-progress, commentary and exploratory pieces inviting critique and feedback; conference reports, surveys and news articles; responses to articles previously published; unpublished manuscripts which have previously been available in other formats within the field; reviews of software or other resources; details of courses in the field.
